Once Came An Epiphany

The word “Epiphany” was at one point, defined as “The sudden revelation that Jesus is the Messiah.”  The fundamental goal of all Christians is to guide non-believers into the same revelation.  The desire to share this insight is the inspiration for this song.

Can’t you see the wind blow from the breeze?
Can’t you see the forest from the trees?
There’s something going on inside of me
Something beautiful
Back when I was strong and knew it all
When my words were big, the world was small
Living just a heartbreak from a fall
Something terrible

Feeling hopeless, there’s no hope for me
Hopelessly broken, won’t you let me be
Misery and mystery, blind to see, then came an epiphany
One day stronger, there’s nothing I can’t do
Feels like longer, everything’s brand new
Dark and dreary
Now I see, once came an epiphany

Can’t you hear the thunder in the rain?
Can’t you sense the hunger in the pain?
There’s something still alive in the remains
Something beautiful
Back when life was kind and I stood tall
When the world was mine, yet not mine at all
Living just a heartbreak from a fall
Something terrible

Feeling hopeless, there’s no hope for me
Hopelessly broken, won’t you let me be
Misery and mystery, blind to see, then came an epiphany
One day stronger, there’s nothing I can’t do
Feels like longer, everything’s brand new
Dark and dreary
Now I see

And I’d give it all
For you to see what I saw
Then you would believe my epiphany

Feeling hopeless, there’s no hope for me
Hopelessly broken, won’t you let me be
Misery and mystery
Blind to see, then came an epiphany
One day stronger, there’s nothing I can’t do
Feels like longer, everything’s brand new
Dark and dreary
Now I see, once came an epiphany
