Fields of Harvest

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV

She knew He was coming
But she didn’t know when
She knew He was lovely
Soon she would know it was Him

You may think it misplaced, you may plan an escape
But we will finish the work He’s started
Take a look all around, it’s so easily found
Wouldn’t you say it’s time for harvest?
And we mustn’t wait
In this labor of love
Walking hand in hand
With the Father above

This is our year
The year of promise
This is our prayer
The prayer for the lost
And we can’t turn away
From this labor of love
Remember yesterday
How you yearned for His touch
And the fields are ripe with eternal life
How could I choose not to go
Into the fields of harvest?

He knew she was waiting
But He didn’t know when
He knew there was much to do
Before He could come back again

You may think it misplaced, you may plan an escape
But we will finish the work He’s started
Take a look all around, it’s so easily found
Wouldn’t you say it’s time for harvest?
And we mustn’t wait
In this labor of love
Walking hand in hand
With the Father above

This is our year
The year of promise
This is our prayer
The prayer for the lost
And we can’t turn away
From this labor of love
Remember yesterday
How you yearned for His touch
And the fields are ripe with eternal life
How could I choose not to go?

Into the fields of harvest, you’ll find purpose, you’ll find grace
In the fields of harvest, why don’t you take that step of faith
In the fields of harvest, the inheritance of the saints
And the fields are ripe with eternal life
How could I choose not to go
Into the fields of harvest?
